About This Show

Colorful legends and folktales interweave with the fabric of daily life in the rugged and remote Appalachian Mountains. In this turn-of-the-century rural mountain village, a close-knit community comes to life in a heartwarming Christmas story. A little girl named Lizzie brings family and friends together–and saves the day–when she awakens the magic of “The Big Music.” Appalachian fables like “Tony Beaver,” age-old dances and clogging, puppetry and songs, abound in this joyful Christmas Eve drama when a child brings light to dark times. Celebrate the merriment of the winter solstice–when the sun grows strong again, days get longer and life is renewed. Experience the family fun of Revels North’s 32nd production of The Christmas Revels–an Upper Valley tradition.
