One of the most acclaimed performance artists of our time, composer/violinist Laurie Anderson speaks with oracular clarity to a society often overwhelmed by chaos. Her new solo theater piece, derived from her recent role as NASA’s first artist-in-residence, is a multi-media epic poem of songs and images connecting the microscopic to the cosmic. A master weaver of tales who believes “technology…is the campfire around which we tell our stories,” Anderson uses vocals and electronics as instruments of “intimacy, conspiracy and seduction” (Chicago Reader) to reflect on dreams, evolution and spirituality.
