New York City
The Unicorn opens its 2003/2004 Season, the 30th Anniversary Season for the midtown theatre, with Lobby Hero by Kenneth Lonergan. The play is a viciously funny modern morality tale set in the lobby of a Manhattan high-rise where laid back and wisecracking Jeff is the new security guard. He tries to make the most of his boring graveyard shift by joking with his overbearing boss and flirting with a female rookie cop working her beat. But when his boss’ brother is implicated in a brutal murder, Jeff suddenly finds himself pressured into providing an alibi – and under investigation by the same cop he finds so attractive.
