New York City
Park Square Theatre presents the area premiere of James Sherman’s From Door to Door, directed by Lynn Musgrave.
Mourning her husband of 50 years and faced with being on her own for the first time, Mary reflects on her life and roles as a daughter, wife and mother. As the play moves from 1936 to 1999, and from one working class Chicago neighborhood to the next, Mary, her mother Bessie and daughter Deborah come of age as American Jewish women. In the turbulence of an ever-changing world, three generations reveal what binds them and what divides them, the changing roles of women and the constant power of family love.
