Sorrows and Rejoicings

In the semidesert Karoo region of South Africa, two women meet: one white, the other black. They seem to have little in common except their love for the same man, an exiled poet deeply connected to his homeland. As they strive to reconcile secrets of the past, hope emerges for post-apartheid South Africa. Athol Fugard’s Sorrows and Rejoicings is directed by Barbara Busby.
