About the Show
Major Dudes salutes the music of Steely Dan and the 50 year anniversary of their debut album release, Can’t Buy a Thrill. Yes, it’s half-Century’s End, and if you get that Donald Fagen song reference you are a true Dan fan and a person who will most assuredly not want to miss this show. If you don’t get it, no worries – there are reasons aplenty for joining us at Canton’s premier performance center, the Village Theater at Cherry Hill.
Major Dudes is an extraordinary 6 piece ensemble that brings a wealth of experience and talent to their interpretations of every Steely Dan top 40 hit (there were ten including Rikki Don't Lose That Number, Do It Again, Peg and Hey Nineteen), numerous excellent Dan "deep cuts", and every tune from their classic 1977 record, Aja. They are multiple winners (in 2019, 2020 and 2022) of the Detroit Music Award for Outstanding Tribute Band.
