Is This Seat Taken? is a rapid-fire set of scenes that take place in various bars and watering holes throughout the city. With each scene based on a bar cliché — "What’s a nice girl like you doing in a place like this?" "Haven’t we met before?" "Mind if I smoke?;" "One for the road;" “What’s your sign?” and so on — a set of actors play everything from bar flies to first timers, from sleazy pick-up artists to frustrated romantics, from hectic waitstaff to rowdy patrons. As one reviewer (honestly!) put it, "If you don’t recognize a few of the characters in this show, you seriously need to get out more." The 6 performers in the show are Tiffany Mullins of Westland, Alex Gojkov of Redford, Emily Tyrybon of Wyandotte, Ken Kilgore of Dearborn, Marybeth Kinnell of Dearborn Heights and Jeff Ostrowski of Dearborn.
