About This Show

In The Tempest, the pinnacle work of Shakespeare’s legendary career, usurped magician Prospero and his daughter have been exiled to a foreign island, robbed of the lustrous and fragile privileges of their former lives. When Prospero’s enemies inadvertently venture into dangerous waters, he shipwrecks the hapless crew and sets his vengeful plot in motion. Magic misfires, love blossoms, and enemies reconcile as this whimsical and touching play asks us: What does it mean to be human?
