New York City
The Island of Anyplace illustrates the various elements of theatre – acting, directing, dialogue, makeup, scenery, costumes, lights, sound, etc. – in an entertaining context. The main character, Jennifer, has been dragged to the theatre by her father. At first she’d rather be home watching TV – but when she takes on the roles of playwright and director herself, Jennifer discovers that her imagination can take her to magical places inhabited by interesting creatures and people.
