The Fairy Queen

The Fairy Queen is one of the most delightful works in the Baroque repertoire. Written in 1692 as a series of masques for Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, it embodies all of that play’s youthful vitality, folly, romance, and fantasy. For these performances we are delighted to feature former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky as the narrator and an enchanting cast: sopranos Amanda Forsythe and Kristen Watson; Ryland Angel, countertenor; Frank Kelley, tenor; and David Kravitz, baritone.
