Dave Brubeck first came to national attention in the 1950s with his adventurous use of uncommon time signatures and his incorporation of classical approaches in jazz. Brubeck keeps performing at a brisk pace, trying out new material and revisiting classics with a new vision to keep his music fresh. Mr. Brubeck’s Boston-area doubleheaders remain one of his favorite ways for him to connect with audiences in an intimate setting. He is joined by his familiar compatriots – Bobby Militello on reeds, Michael Moore on bass and Randy Jones on drums.
