The Bread and Puppet Theater: Everything is Fine Circus

The Bread and Puppet Theater presents their family-friendly show, Everything is Fine Circus, featuring Pinky (the Federal Emergency Elephant), The Rotten Idea Theater Company, The Axis of Beagle and more. Take note that if some of the circus acts are politically puzzling to adults, accompanying kids can usually explain them.

In addition to Everything is Fine Circus, Bread and Puppet Theater’s residency at the Cyclorama includes The Battle of the Terrorists and the Horrorists, a political art symposium, and a political art exhibit:

Peter Schumann’s most recent visual art explorations. The showing on Monday, Feb. 12 features an opening reception with “Voices from the Community: Perspective from Local Youth Participating in the Bread and Puppet Residency at the BCA” held from 6:30pm – 7:00pm.

The symposium features an in-depth interview with Bread and Puppet Theater’s Founder and Artistic Director, Peter Schumann, conducted by Dr. John Bell (Puppet Historian, Emerson College professor, and author of Puppets, Masks and Performing Objects) and is followed by a Q&A.

The Boston Center for the Arts co-presents the Bread and Puppet Theater as part of the BCA 2006-2007 Cultural Partners Series. For their productions, Bread and Puppet joins forces with 25 local puppeteers and the 15-piece locally-based Second Line Social Aid and Pleasure Society Brass Band.
