About This Show

Winner of two Tony Awards, Parade tells the tragic, true story of Leo Frank, a Brooklyn-born Jew living in Georgia who is unjustly accused of murdering a young girl. With a book by Alfred Uhry (Driving Miss Daisy) and music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown (Songs for a New World), this compelling musical covers not only the trial, but also subtly examines the impact of class, race, prejudice and the Civil War on Frank’s case. At the center of this gripping musical, however, is a beautiful love story between Leo and his wife Lucille, who finds an inner strength she never knew she had as she works to prove her husband’s innocence.
