About This Show

What do Venezuela, the Philippines and most gay men you know have in common? Beauty Pageant Fever!! Fillipino gay performance artist Noël Alumit returns to Boston with a backhanded tribute to the glamorous opening numbers, rigged-yet-suspenseful voting, humiliating swimsuit defeats, obscure “talents”, obscene splashes of sexism and imperialism, and of course, the infamous final question… And yes, somebody wins a tiara. Anne Etue directs.

“Best Bet” raves Los Angeles Times.

There is an additional performance on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 7pm.

Part of the Out on the Edge festival.
