About This Show

George Balanchine’s Jewels is a full length ballet in three parts. Presenting a miniature history of classical dance, Jewels references ballet’s French origins, Russia’s imperial style and Balanchine’s own take on the art form. Jewels premiered at New York City Ballet in 1967.
