About the Show

Set in 1936 Ireland, Brian Friel’s Dancing at Lughnasa is the fictionalized memory of the playwright’s childhood. The play depicts a pivotal time in his boyhood with his single mother, high-spirited aunts, estranged father, and ex-missionary uncle, on intertwined quests for joy.
