About This Show

The Theatre Cooperative presents Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand. Lesley Chapman directs.

Cyrano de Bergerac-swordsman, poet, musician and philosopher-loves his cousin Roxane, but his larger-than-life nose prevents him from revealing his secret. When she tells him she is in love with the young guardsman Christian, Cyrano puts all his talents into helping Christian woo Roxane. The story that unfolds expresses the truth of deep friendship, true courage, and wildly unselfish love.

Charming, proud and romantic, Cyrano is one of the theatre’s most memorable characters. Beneath the play’s carefree bravado is a quiet undertone of sacrifice and longing.

Why do we fall in love? And how well do we really know the people we love? This classic, tragic love story, presented on the intimate stage of The Theatre Cooperative, will make us wonder, laugh, cry…. and love.

Additional performances Sundays 9/26 & 10/3 @ 3 pm.
