About the Show

A spoof of the 1940s private-eye movies, City of Angels blends mystery and wit, reality and fantasy, in this hilarious musical comedy. The story traces the misadventures of Stine, a writer, as he tries to turn his novel into a screenplay to impress the manipulative Hollywood producer, Buddy Fidler. The more Stine writes, the more things get interesting. Music by Cy Coleman. Lyrics by David Zippel. Book by Larry Gelbart. Directed by Paul Daigneault. Musically Directed by Janet Roma.
