In the poignant conclusion of Neil Simon’s acclaimed autobiographical trilogy, (which includes Brighton Beach Memoirs and Biloxi Blues), Eugene Jerome and his older brother Stanley are trying to break into the world of professional comedy writing, while coping with the breakup of their family. When they find a job where they can write short comedic skits for the radio, they use their dysfunctional family as inspiration and when the material is broadcast, the family is upset to hear a comedy rendition of their trials and tribulations. Feelings get hurt, family secrets come out and the brothers discover harsh truths about who they are, while learning lessons about love, forgiveness and hope.
