What really happened to Sebastian Venable last summer?

Following the mysterious death of her son, the formidable Violet Venable is determined to protect his reputation at any cost. Her niece Catharine witnessed Sebastian’s final moments and has returned with a horrifying story Violet refuses to accept. With Catharine’s freedom, sanity, and very future hanging in the balance, the two women enter a battle of wills over memory, power, and who gets to decide what is true.

For this immersive reimagining of Tennessee Williams’ psychological thriller, TWTC leaves the lush Garden District world of the play behind and places Violet and Catharine on more dangerous, even footing: an unforgiving institutional space where there is nowhere to hide and every version of the truth will be put on trial. 

Audiences will be brought inside the world of the production, surrounded by a theatrical landscape of live performance, projection, sound, and media as Catharine’s fragmented memories begin to take over the room.

And for a small number of audience members at each performance, watching won’t be the only option. Special immersive tickets will offer the opportunity to enter the world of the production and become part of the experience itself.

Violet is determined to silence Catharine’s “truth.” But Catharine’s truth may be the one thing powerful enough to destroy everything Violet has left.
