About This Show

One of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein’s finest works, The King and I boasts a score featuring such classics as “Getting to Know You,” “I Whistle a Happy Tune,” “Hello, Young Lovers,” and “Shall We Dance?”. Set in 1860s Bangkok, the musical tells the story of the unconventional and tempestuous relationship that develops between the King of Siam and Anna Leonowens, a British schoolteacher whom the king, leaning away from tradition and toward modernity, brings to Siam to teach his many wives and children.

Note: The King and I is recommended for ages five and up; children under five are not permitted in the theater. Haze, dry ice, and fog effects are used in the show.
