About This Show

The Theatre@Boston Court presents the world premiere of Cold/Tender by Cody Henderson, directed by Jessica Kubzansky. The play is a “funny, dangerous, heartbreaking” journey of a single dollar bill as it traverses its way through time from 1962 to 2004. The journey links three Cold War crises that illuminate tender human connections: three Miami teenagers invent games of love and sex in a bomb shelter on the eve of the 1962 Cuban missile crisis; a Ukrainian-born couple struggles through a day of work at a Napa Valley health spa the morning after the 1986 Chernobyl disaster; and three Americans – a man, his fiancée, and his gal-pal — vacationing in Cuba today discover pain, passion and paradox both in the land and in each other.
