Things You Shouldn’t Say Past Midnight

About the Show

Peter Ackerman’s "comedy in three beds," Things You Shouldn’t Say Past Midnight is an edgy, hysterical romp through three bedrooms and three interconnecting dysfunctional romances over the course of a single night. Ben and Nancy are a young couple in the passionate throes of a burgeoning relationship- until a late night misunderstanding sends Nancy off to find her friend Grace, seeking romantic advice. But Grace is having relationship troubles of her own. Her boyfriend Gene is a hitman, and a somewhat prudish one, at that. Nancy’s intrusion into their bedroom only complicates things further, and the decision is made to call Mark, Gene’s brother and Grace’s therapist, seeking his (and his elderly boyfriend’s) counsel. These close encounters of the absurd kind reveal how little understanding we sometimes have when it comes to others’ passions as well as our own.
