On the bank of the James River in the colony of Virginia in 1712, a slave owner named Willie Lynch allegedly read a letter to teach his methods to slave owners on how to keep black people divided for 300 years. In 1995, this letter is brought to light–is it real, or not? Set in 1995 New Orleans, a group of friends come to terms with their most inner fears, and face each other with some hard questions on a rainy night in the big easy as a serial killer stalks the city.
