With a thoroughly original movement vocabulary that combines the dexterity of breakdance and the urban energy of hip-hop with the fluid elegance and striking technique of ballet, Victor Quijada and his Rubberbandance Group have exploded onto the international dance circuit. The six-member troupe offers Elastic Perspective, a suite of dances with such delicious titles as "Secret Service," a hip-hop interpretation of a Sergei Prokofiev score, and "The Traviattle," a playful battle of the sexes set to Verdi.
