Dante Inferno

“Abandon all Hope, ye who enter here.” This classic book by Dante Alighieri is considered one of the greatest pieces of literature.

In Dante Inferno, Dante tells the story of his guided journey into the deep recesses of hell. As he voyages through each circle, going deeper into the earth, he encounters a myriad of damned souls. Witnessing their ghastly punishments, he learns the cause of their torment. As he travels further he also encounters obstacles that might trap him for all eternity.

This adaptation for the stage presents the classic story in a new light, with extensive choreography and modernized language that makes it accessible to those who have only heard of the book. Alejandro de la Costa’s adaptation captures all the raw intensity, violence, and sexuality that has stunned readers of the book for hundreds of years. The actors in this production, through skillful use of their bodies, become the beasts, devils, sinners, and towering bodies and rivers of flesh that Dante encounters.

Because of the graphic nature of the play, patrons must be 18 or older for admittance.
