Actors’ Guild of Lexington presents Avenue X: The A Capella Musical. Set against the volatile backdrop of a racially mixed Brooklyn neighborhood in 1963, this show is a joyous testament to the human voice. The powerful play introduces us to Pasquale and his two friends who sing on street corners and hope to hit the big time in an upcoming contest. When one of the guys drops out, Pasquale invites Milton, a new black kid on the block, to join the group. This exhilarating new musical celebrates the vibrant rhythms of doo-wop, rock-n-roll, gospel, blues and jazz.
