It’s Saturday night and the Reverend Oglethorpe has invited the Sanders Family Singers to provide an upliftin’ evening of singin’ and you are invited to pull up a pew and join in! Vintage hymns and hilarious stories provide a richly entertaining evening that will keep you singing and clapping. Truly an all time Derby Dinner favorite.
Conceived by Alan Bailey and written by Constance Ray, the homespun Smoke on the Mountain was a hit from its very first performance. Audiences are treated to the melodies of over 20 gospel songs including “Little Church In The Wildwood”, “Wonderful Time Up There”, “Bringing In The Sheaves”, and “Rock Of Ages”. All songs are sung by the cast switching instruments and accompanying themselves on 10 or more instruments.
