About This Show

TINY ISLAND is set in the projection booth of the Brynward Cinema, a grand old movie theater playing classic Hollywood features to a dwindling audience. The play focuses on the relationship of two middle-aged sisters. Hazel and Muriel, estranged for years, experience pivotal moments in their quarrelsome, witty and tenuous relationship. Muriel returns home to find things are not as she had hoped. Hazel, left behind, is trying to save the family business and a failing marriage. In a series of lyrical passages, intelligent humor, supernatural episodes, and romantic flashbacks – all underscored by great movie dialogue, a bottle of vodka, and a game of Trivial Pursuit ? the two sisters confront their past.
