Pegasus Players opens its 25th Silver Anniversary Season with the historical drama, The State of Mississippi and the Face of Emmett Till, written by David Barr and Emmett Till’s mother, Mamie Till Mobley. The show tells the harrowing story of Emmett Till, a fourteen-year-old African-American boy from Chicago who was beaten, mutilated, and killed after being accused of whistling at a white woman in Mississippi in 1955. The story focuses on Till’s mother and her dedication to ensure that Emmett’s death not be forgotten. Douglas Alan Mann directs.
