About This Show

From L. Frank Baum, author of The Wizard of Oz, comes The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus. Adapted for Theatre-Hikes by Artistic Director Frank Farrell, the show takes audiences on a delightful and moving journey (literally and figuratively) of the world’s greatest gift-giver. The epic tale tells Santa’s story, from being raised by forest wood-nymphs to his first enounter with other humans, and how it all set him on his way to becoming the kindest man in the world.

Depending on weather conditions, performances may take place outdoors, indoors, or both. Theatre-hikers are encouraged to dress appropriately for hiking outdoors in late November and December and are welcome to bring light chairs, blankets or tarps for sitting, which can be carried to the different locations during the theatre-hike.

NOTE:

Preview Performances (November 18 & 19) are held at the North Park Village Nature Center (NPVNC), 5801 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago. Tickets for these performances only are $10.00 General Admission and $6.00 for Children 12 and under. For reservations to the Preview Performances, call 312-744-5472.
