About This Show

European Repertory Company in association with About Face Theatre will present Tony Kushner’s SLAVS. The story revolves around actual events; the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl, the appointment of Gorbachev as leader of the Soviet Union, the demise of Communism and the break-up of the USSR. Kushner provides an in-depth examination of what went wrong with the world’s first socialist country. In doing so he analyzes what it means to be a Slav and what exactly is the spiritual genius of the Slavic people.
There will be an additional performance on Sunday May 7th to benefit the European Repertory Company. The ticket price for the benefit will be $50
