Impulsive and restless, King Henry V of England is about to hastily wage war against France, arguing he must protect his claim to land and titles, while lashing back at a French monarchy that insults him and refuses to see him as a serious leader. The Bard’s epic follows Henry and his men through the brutality of warfare as the group confronts not only heavy opposition from the French troops that outnumber them, but their own destinies. Directed by Davis McCallum, Henry V examines not only Henry’s military aggressiveness, but the reactions of his men, who sometime seem unsure of the justice and cause they’re fighting for.
