Frindle

In Andrew Clements’ Frindle, Nick Allen has great ideas but they don’t particularly make his teachers happy. Now he’s in fifth grade, and the dictionary-fanatic-language-arts teacher doesn’t put up with any funny business. All is well until Nick is inspired to invent a new word: frindle. A battle of wits ensues.
