About the Show

Adapted from Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Grey, Dorian is a timeless tale about the downfalls of excess–Dorian seems always to be searching for a better “high” be it physical, chemical, emotional, or sensual. His descent into sexual danger, drug abuse, and overwhelming vanity spirals into his seemingly endless search for physical perfection and acceptance.

In this new adaptation of Wilde’s timeless classic, dance becomes the major narrative device throughout the play, making this a visceral world for all the senses. Highly theatrical, with original music, magic, and puppets, the audience becomes a necessary player in the story, and infinitely more engaged in it. Metaphorically speaking, by supplying the audience with the proper frame for our picture, they may paint it through the use of their imaginations.
