Christmas by Candlelight ~ Sunday (plus Livestream)

Christmas by Candlelight is St. Martin’s beloved annual holiday tradition—an experience not to be missed. This year’s concert features the radiant German Renaissance carol Es ist ein Ros’ entsprungen (“Lo, how a rose e’er blooming”), which inspires a program of rose-themed Christmas music spanning centuries. The journey culminates in Hugo Distler’s masterful choral variations from his 1938 work Die Weihnachtsgeschichte (The Christmas Story). All this glorious music is brought vividly to life as it is sung in the shimmering glow of thousands of candles.
