Proof

Proof, by David Auburn, winner of both the Pulitzer Prize and the Tony Award, will make its premiere in Hartford in an extended run at TheaterWorks.

Proof’s enigmatic main character, Catherine, is the daughter of a brilliant mathematician who did groundbreaking work in his youth, but then suffered a mental breakdown. Catherine has inherited her father Robert’s genius as well as, quite possibly, his madness.

There are also four Sunday evening performances on September 21 & 28, and October 5 & 12 at 7:30 p.m.
