About This Show

In Drum-Sticks, Fiddle-Sticks, Blair Thomas, co-founder of the award-winning Redmoon Theatre in Chicago, presents a diverse evening of both farcical and reverential puppetry theatre. Behind a carnivalesque stage, he interprets Federico Garcia Lorca’s bawdy telling of traditional trickster Don Cristobal’s wooing of and marriage to the delectable Miss Rosita in The Little Altar of Don Cristobal. With 27, The Blackbird,Thomas offers an intriguing look at how doubt deteriorates love. Amazing Grace plays as lamp light flickers behind four large scrolls which, when unwound, reveal text excerpts from Wallace Steven’s 1917 poem, “Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird.”

Ages 18 and up only.
