About This Show

Following the tremendous success of their three previous Broadway Concert Presentations, Caldwell Theatre Company will now present the Tony Award-winning The Secret Garden. The production will star Caldwell’s Broadway Concert luminaries, Wayne LeGette and Melissa Minyard, while adding newcomer Amy Miller Brennan. In the pivotal role of Mary Lennox, the adage of "the apple not falling far…" is applicable, as it will be handled by Catherine Minyard, daughter of Melissa Minyard, an extraordinary talent in her own right. Colin Craven, the other child role in The Secret Garden, features the young talent, Dakota Ruiz, who most recently finished the national tour of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. The Secret Garden will be the largest cast for a Caldwell Theatre Company Concert, with a cast of 17 in total.

The enchanting classic from children’s literature is re-imagined as a brilliant, contemporary, Broadway musical. Orphaned in India, 11 year-old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive Uncle Archibald and his invalid son, Colin. The estate’s many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies and the "Dreamers," spirits from Mary’s past who guide her through her new life, dramatizing, The Secret Garden’s compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal.
