About This Show

A delightful evening of rousing music and engaging stories, sailing on melodies from Latin America to Europe. Performances feature a Vivaldi concerto, Murcia’s guitars and more.

Audiences will hear the Colorado premiere of a piece by highly regarded Black composer Jonathan Woody, inspired by the work and amazing journey of Ignatius Sancho, an 18th century Black British composer born on a slave ship.

New interpretations continue with musical treasures from Latin America, rediscovered, curated and arranged by Bolivian violinist and scholar Karin Cuéllar Rendón. Learn more at https://www.thescen3.org/a-night-in-a-peruvian-salon-with-baroque-chamber-orchestra-and-karin-cuellar-rendon/
