About This Show

In Arthur Miller’s chilling drama The Archbishop’s Ceiling, four famous writers and the woman who has been mistress and muse to three of them search for connections and come to terms with hidden hurts and lost opportunities. They are gathered together in an unnamed city in an anonymous eastern European capital under the Archbishop’s ceiling which is possibly bugged.

The play asks the questions what happens to human beings, human behavior and relationships in a society that habitually pries and spies on its citizens, and what is the price of freedom? Gregory Mosher directs.
