Play With Your Food

Play With Your Food combines a gourmet buffet lunch with one-act plays written by both emerging and award-winning playwrights and read by professional actors. Since one-act plays are generally short, audiences usually see two or three plays each performance. When asked how she chooses plays, Artistic Director Carole Schweid said, “First and foremost, we look for plays that are well-written. Then I look for plays that stick. When I find myself thinking about a play I read last month, I assume our audience will want to see it too.” A brief interaction with the actors and directors concludes the afternoon.
