About This Show

Magic and romance collide with hilarious consequences in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This production adds a new array of delights to Shakespeare’s most popular play by reinventing Athens as a quant 1950’s Long Island town. When Hermia and Lysander flee Hermia’s father to elope, Demetrius and Helena follow them to an abandoned fairground. Carnival-esque fairies fill this magical setting with the music and costumes of the Roaring Twenties. From comical craftsmas to feuding fairies this enchanging production captures the fun and excitment of a spirited summer carnival.

The show runs from July 29th to August 19th on Tuesdays through Sundays at the Theodore Roosevelt County Park and August 24th to August 28th at Agawam Park in Southampton.
