Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, a comedic operatic masterpiece, features philandering Spanish aristocrats, forbidden dalliances, disguises, mistaken identities and endlessly funny plotting. Figaro and his true love, Susanna, join a host of colorful characters in this witty story of love, betrayal and forgiveness. The Bulgarian State Opera transforms this enchanting late 18th century opera into a night of laughter and beautiful music that includes two of Mozart’s most beloved arias, “Dove sono” and “Porgi amor.”
