Classical Savion

The artistic genius of Tony Award-winning tap dancer/choreographer Savion Glover has made him tap’s reigning virtuoso. Classical Savion, one of Glover’s latest works, fuses the jazz-tap tradition of improvisation with the structured themes of classical music as Glover taps to everything from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons to Bach’s Brandenburg concerti – accompanied by a four-man jazz combo and a 10-piece string ensemble. Star and co-creator of Broadway’s Bring in ‘Da Noise, Bring in ‘Da Funk, Glover’s crackling performance takes tap to a whole new plateau.

Classical Savion performs in Jorgensen’s candlelit, cabaret setting. Dessert and beverages are available during the performance for $3.00 – $10.00. Doors open at 7:00pm.
