Mark Twain’s classic story chronicles the dual adventures of the beggar Tom Conty and England’s Prince of Wales, who trade places. Twain based his tale on the history of King Edward VI, the boy king who ascended the throne at the age of ten. Adapted for the stage by Aurand Harris, it is a delight for children ages 4 and up, and adults of all ages. Steve Wilson directs the professional actors of Denver Children’s Theatre in this handsome production, with original music by Irwin Appel.
