Emergence-SEE! is set during the present-day as a slave ship rises from the Hudson River and perches at the feet of the Statue of Liberty. When the dead speak, the ghost of a 400-year-old African Chief stirs the consciousness of a Nation. This is where Daniel Beaty begins his magical transformation as he effortlessly slides in and out of 40 different characters to bring you this brilliant tour-de-force performance.

A poet, singer and actor, Daniel is both performer and author of Emergence-SEE!. He has performed throughout the US, Europe, and Africa. He has also been featured on HBO’s Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry, NBC’s Showtime at the Apollo, and has performed at The Kennedy Center and the White House.
