About the Show
In Be My Neighbor, the Denver Feminist Chorus explores the lived experiences of immigrants in the United States. Featuring pieces such as “A New Colossus” by Kevin Memley and Moira Smiley’s “Refugee,” it is musically and stylistically diverse, inviting audiences to move beyond rhetoric and statistics and encounter immigration as it is: a hopeful, challenging, contradictory, yet fully human experience.
