New York City
It’s 1989…and in the industrial town of Elyria, Ohio, football is king and the high school marching band is an after-thought. But this is the year… the band is going to march at the half-time show of the Cleveland Browns Monday Night Football Game and be featured on NATIONAL TV! The school band director, Doug Bradford, is trying his damn hardest to motivate his marching band kids, especially the new drum major, Joey Cranford. But with funding for the arts drying up, Bud Edwards, the domineering school superintendent, is doing his best to cancel band forever!
This 80’s flavored musical features original music, original marching, and big, big bangs. It’s a little bit naughty and alittle bit sweet…the show for anyone who ever felt misunderstood in high school!
