The Refugee Hotel

Set in 1974, this raw and powerful twelve-character play tells the emotional story of a group of Chilean refugees struggling to adapt to an unfamiliar life in Canada. After a desperate escape from Pinochet’s military regime, these shell-shocked immigrants find themselves sharing more than just accommodation in Vancouver’s Refugee Hotel, learning that only love will conquer rage, guilt, hate, sorrow and fear.
